I heard a great idea --- write letters back and forth to your child in his/her journal! I thought this would be great for the negligent journal writer. I tried this with my daughter (she hasn't written back yet....hmmmmm!
Looks like a dad (Family Fun 11/07 pg 33) had the same idea. But he had a few great questions he would use...
What one thing have you wanted to do with me but never have?
What one thing would you really like me to teach you or tell you that I never have?
What have you done with me in the past that you really enjoyed but don't get to do often enough?
What one thing is really on your mind that you want me to know about?
