Resurrection Easter Eggs

Each Easter we like to do the Resurrection Easter Egg Lesson.  There is a nicely typed up version of it here -- or a complete lesson involving the eggs and a video here.   The only differences in my lesson were as follows:

1.  My eggs not only contain the scripture reference but the actual verse -- if holding your kids attention is important -- or if you are doing this all at once, it might help to have them all printed.  In addition, there were a few additional notes that I will make mention of.

2.  My lesson didn't use the verse with the chocolate kisses and instead we used Matthew 27:35-36 with a small dice -- it was our number 7 egg coming after the egg with a tiny nail.  Why not have 13 eggs?  I like both parts of the story.

In addition to the reference:
3 dimes - "This fulfilled the prophecy in Zechariah 11:12-14 that Jesus would be sold for 30 pieces of silver."
nail - "And He was crucified...nailed to the cross.  Press this nail into your hand...feel how it must have hurt."
