A sparrow got into the tabernacle on Temple Square. Every effort to get the sparrow out of the building failed until they decided to cover all the windows and doors so they were dark and leave only one door open with the light shining through it. The sparrow quickly found his way to freedom. When we are caught in a place we should not be we need to look to the “light” of the gospel to free us. ‘A Sparrow in the Tabernacle’, The Ensign, June, 1989, p. 25, Ronald D. John, Manager of Temple Square operations.
~Ensign, May, 91, R. G. Scott. . . . automatic watch. It is powered by a solar cell and to function must be exposed to light. We are like that. We operate on light and need a constant renewal of that light. If we drift into a path where there is darkness, if can be extraordinarily difficult to come back. You will not have that challenge because you live in the light of truth.
~As you walk through life, always walk toward the light, and the shadows of life will fall behind you. -- Thomas Monson
