Notes from Ward Conferences 2021-22
103rd Ward Conference:
Bishop Christiansen - spiritual habits, testimony, faithHolding to the Rod with 1 finger (ie. going to church only) it's easy to get pushed off.
5 Fingers are so much more secure - But 10 fingers is what you need!
Temple Recommend is actually a covenant to keep those things
Sister Cordner - temple
Zach Williams - Christian Song - little more like Jesus, a little less like me
Feeling stagnet - was invited with Stake to sing with the GC choir - they were challenged to attend the temple weekly to prepare so they could portray light. It was so difficult but it changed her. President Cordner speaks of the change he witnessed in her (more patience, more light) and feeling like he was getting left behind. It took him longer to love attending but now he does love going often.
President Cordner-temple, covenants, commitment
If you don't love going to the temple - go more often (Oaks)
Story - He is a General Contractor. He signed a contract on a project that said he would be fined $1000 a day he was late. He passed on the contract to his subs (concrete - largest sub contract) with similar penalties to offset. It was Legally binding. One day he got a letter from a sub liting a whole list of all that had gone wrong. Mostly out of his control - they had had extremem weather, not being able to get supplies, labor shortages, etc. He said, that despite all of this "we will honor th terms fo our contract."
Can we say the same? Despite evertyhing that has happneed, will I honor the terms of my covenants?
Do I know my covenants and strive to keep them? That is a step above being willing!)
94th Ward - Dallin's Ward

Challenge to the Ward - 5 things:
First thing - KNEEL in prayer
